Highway 174 Closing For Saturday Night

Westbound between Trim & Tenth

A section on Highway 174 is scheduled for closure between 11 PM Saturday, March 28th until 9 AM Sunday, March 29th morning, as roadside teams will be at work to remove overhead signage.

Be prepared for diversions if you are planning on using Highway 174 to travel during this time. Lanes on the highway will start closing by 10:30 PM, with all westbound lanes closing by 11 PM on Saturday night. The lanes will be open again by 9 AM Sunday morning.

Note the following detour during the closure:

  • Exit Highway 174 at Trim Road
  • Turn left on Trim Road
  • Turn right on St. Joseph Boulevard
  • Turn right on Tenth Line Road
  • Keep right and follow the Highway 174 westbound on-ramp

Work has been scheduled to be done at night time in order to limit any inconvenience to drivers during the day.

The action is being closely monitored by the city of Ottawa, especially during the current situation arisen due to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 global pandemic. The constructor in charge of the road work is said to be in contact with the city and will follow all advisories and measures provided by Ottawa Public Health department, and the province of Ontario.
