
Take a sip from a cup of art and culture this Spring season with Doors Open Toronto, Canada’s largest Doors Open event. Take this opportunity to marvel at Toronto’s amazing architecture, most of which are usually closed to the general public, absolutely free!
This year’s theme is “Open TO Music”, and celebrates all eras of music (past, present and looking to the future), while also discovering and showcasing the influence of music and sound on the architectural developments of Toronto. Explore over 150 locations which have contributed to the city’s history and culture, including design marvels such as Aga Khan Museum, Alumnae Theatre, Campbell House Museum, Bata Shoe Museum and Gibson House Museum, to name a few. Last years’ list of buildings boasted stellar names such as Canadian National Exhibition (Withrow Common), Odeyto, PARTISANS, the Kiever Synagogue, Goethe Institut Toronto, Holy Blossom Temple, Taric Islamic Centre, TIFF Bell Lightbox and many more.
In addition to open houses, there are also 10 free walking tours, organized to provide an immersive experience into the history, architecture and lifestyle of various neighbourhoods.
Now in it’s 21st successful year, Doors Open Toronto is one of the top three largest Doors Open events around the globe, and has attracted roughly 2 million visitors to almost 700 unique locations.
